Who trains here

Elementary first‑timers on the same mat as state champions

Raw West is one room and one practice. Kids taking their first stance train alongside high schoolers chasing a state title and athletes already committed to wrestle in college. Boys and girls, beginners through post‑grad.

Nobody gets sorted out. The younger athletes learn by being in the room, and the older ones get better by teaching what they know.

Raw West athletes gathered on the mat after practice, front row kneeling.

The room

2790 W Mountain St

A full competition mat, padded walls, college banners, and a clock that does not care how tired you are. It is not a gym with a mat in the corner. It is a wrestling room.

Head Coach

Raw West runs under head coach Nathan Furman, with visiting coaches and college athletes regularly stepping in to work with the room.

Success is never owned. Success is only rented, and the rent is due every day.

How to join

Two cards, then the mat

Everyone who steps on the mat needs a USA Wrestling membership and a Raw West registration. Do them in this order.

  1. Step 1

    Get a USA Wrestling membership

An athlete membership with USA Wrestling is required before you can practice. Sign in to the membership portal, or create an account if this is your first one, and keep your membership number handy — you will need it in step two.

  2. Step 2

    Register with Raw West

Registration runs through WrestlingIQ. You will need your USA Wrestling membership number from step one to complete it.
